Go into your sdcard under Clockworkmod/backups and copy the particular backup to your computer.

Grab unyaffs, a tool that will let you extract .img files (which the clockwork backups are).

Precompiled for windows -> http://box23.org/pub/7500/tools/unyaffs-x86-win.zip

Extract the unyaffs-x86-win.zip.

Put the unyaffs.exe and the file.img files in a new folder, open up a terminal window (windows-run-cmd), navigate to the folder where the files are and type: unyaffs file.img.

All the files of the image are than extracted to the folder you are in.

Now you have the folders containing the extracted system.

For our n00b friends, I have modified a simple script found online, in order to extract the data.img or the system.img easily, without messing with commands.

http://www.sendspace.com/file/evxdzu

Download this file and put the contained files and the file.img in a new folder. Double click on “unpack_data.img.cmd” if you want to extract the content of data.img or click on “unpack_system.img.cmd” if you want to extract system.img.

It can’t be easier!!!

Here is the code for the advanced users.

@echo off

Echo *** Unpack yahffs data.img ***

unyaffs data.img
